At K12 Private Academy, we believe that every student deserves an exceptional, accredited education, regardless of their financial circumstances. Whether you’re looking for scholarships for private elementary schools, middle schools, or high schools, we’re dedicated to supporting families in their desire for quality learning with various K–12 private school scholarship opportunities.
Types of Scholarships Available
Families may apply for both scholarships, but they may ultimately be awarded only one scholarship per student. The deadline for both scholarships is July 15, 2023 at 11:59 PM (ET). Employees of Stride Inc. or its subsidiaries and their immediate family members are not eligible for this scholarship award.

AHS Scholarship Options
We Stand Together Scholarship
At K12 Private Academy, we believe in “Education for Any ONE.” For us, that is more than a tagline—it’s an underlying philosophy that governs how we operate. We are continuing to work to help create real change toward racial equity in education.
Each We Stand Together scholarship covers tuition-free, full-time enrollment for qualified students of color to attend K12 Private Academy for the upcoming school year.
Your child is eligible to apply for the We Stand Together Scholarship if they:
Are a new or returning student;
Are in kindergarten through twelfth grade (K–12);
Identify as Black or African American;
Have at least a 2.0 GPA (letter grade C on a 4.0 scale or equivalent);
Demonstrate financial need (e.g. qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch); and
Complete the application process by the deadline.
A subset of these private school scholarships are designated for students in grades 6–12 who are interested in Stride Career Prep.
1. Complete the application and parent form.
2. Provide a personal statement that briefly explains the student’s educational and/or life and career goals. For example, what do they want to be when they grow up? This statement holds significant weight in the selection process and may be submitted in any of the following formats:
a. A written personal statement, not exceeding 300 words
b. A thoughtful illustration prepared solely by the student
c. A poem written by the student about their achievements and future goals
d. A letter of reference written by someone other than an immediate family member (such as a teacher or community leader) that describes the student’s achievements and/or future goals
3. Email all requested materials as attachments to scholarshipcommittee@k12.com no later than the deadline.
All applicants for this private school scholarship receive an email acknowledgement that their materials were received. This email also includes a timetable for the application process. These scholarships are awarded following formal evaluation of the applicant’s materials.
How the review process works:
The scholarship committee rates all required components of application packages for all applicants.
Candidates may be interviewed by phone or videoconference before the final selection.
Scholarship recipients should expect to be notified shortly after the submission deadline.
Scholarship recipients and their parents or guardians must complete the terms and conditions form.
After the acceptance forms are signed, applicants who were not selected are notified.
AHS Academy Scholarship
K12 Private Academy awards up to four scholarships for full-time, tuition-free enrollment each school year. This private high school scholarship may be awarded to new or returning students entering the ninth grade who demonstrate high academic potential and familial financial need.
Your child is eligible to apply for the K12 Private Academy Scholarship if they:
Are a new or returning student;
Are entering ninth grade;
Have at least a 3.0 GPA (letter grade B on a 4.0 scale or equivalent);
Demonstrate high academic potential;
Demonstrate financial hardship to meet the scholarship economic needs guidelines; and
Complete the application process by the deadline.
1. Download, review, and complete the K12 Private Academy Scholarship Application Instructions, Application Form, and Parent Information Form.
2. Prepare the following documents:
a. Student essay(s)
b. GPA documentation via official transcript or grade report verifying a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
c. Two letters of recommendation from persons other than immediate family members
d. Parent Information Form
e. Verification of household income for the current year and the past year
f. Student video, audio recording, essay, or poem
3. Submit your application by emailing all documents as attachments to scholarshipcommittee@k12.com no later than the deadline

Scholarship Renewal
It’s our goal to renew K12 Private Academy Scholarships for all four years of high school to selected students. The annual scholarship renewal decisions are made based on the student’s engagement and academic progress. These decisions are made during the month of May each year.
To be eligible for renewal, students must meet the following criteria:
Maintain at least a 3.0 GPA for each scholarship year;
Maintain course pacing requirements, completing courses on time without extensions;
Meet attendance requirements as identified in the Student-Parent Handbook; and
Participate in all mentoring meetings and activities unless excused by the mentor.
Arizona students will continue to be eligible for the Arizona ESA as long as they reside in the state and must reapply each year.
Scholarship FAQs
K12 Private Academy currently offers two scholarship options, including the We Stand Together Scholarship for Black and African American students at all grade levels, and the K12 Private Academy Scholarship for ninth grade students demonstrating academic excellence. In addition, K12 Private Academy participates in Arizona's Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA). Arizona's ESA fully covers K12 Private Academy's tuition costs, meaning Arizona students can attend for free. Full details can be found above.
Yes, the K12 Private Academy Scholarship is available for qualifying ninth grade students and can be renewed for all four years of high school, if the selected students continue to meet the requirements.
